The problem still persisted, but after a few hours of research, I realized that I had to uninstall the programs (which actually were unwanted and not what I expected the installer to install) to help solve the problem. After seeing that the virus/es still persist after repeated scans and corresponding actions, I thought to install a free Avast software. I only had Windows Defender at that time. I recently accidentally opened an installer I got somewhere untrustworthy.
